Carhartt WIP King's Cross London Store – Now Open

Last Thursday, we launched the latest Carhartt WIP London store, situated at Unit 3, 2 Pancras Square, King’s Cross.

Created by renowned London-based design studio Faye Toogood, the space focuses on rugged utilitarianism with aggregate-concrete flooring and a ceiling which features serried banks of pendant lamps. Wall panels have been created in tough canvas and display units crafted from hardwearing materials in warms tones of deep brown and tan – taking inspiration from iconic Carhartt WIP garments. The store also features a custom built cafe bar, operated in partnership with renowned coffee roasters Allpress.

To celebrate the launch of this store, LAW Magazine unveiled its 2117 project for Carhartt WIP. Culminating in a 100+ page magazine, an exhibition and live performances from some of London’s most promising young musicians, 2117 celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Carhartt Chore Coat by looking to the future. 100 years from now, to be precise, taking this iconic item of clothing and interrogating it to understanding the needs of future generations.

The night saw us joined by friends old and new, as we celebrated a new store and an immense body of work in style. Check out some of the photos, and relive some memories from the evening. Photos by Alessandro Bergonzoni.
