Military Pants

Since Carhartt WIP’s earliest days, military references and stylistic cues taken from BDU garments have been incorporated into the brand’s clothes. Designed for functionality, these pieces have always mirrored our own, which are created to be just as robust and utilitarian. This week, we spotlight some seasonal standouts from our Military Program, focussing on four styles of F/W18 pants.

Exhibit A: Valiant Jogger

Combining the durable ripstop fabric so often employed in Battle Dress Uniform garments with a sportswear silhouette, the Valiant Jogger features a regular straight cut with an elasticated leg opening and waistband. Subtle but functional detailing includes rear and side pockets with pull-zip closure, while these pants are also adorned with our woven Military label.

Exhibit B: Fordson Pant

Created in our tough, 9oz Griffith cotton twill fabric, the Fordson Pant is a casual pant with a relaxed fit, tapering below the knee and with a slightly dropped crotch. Elasticated bottom hems further add to this pant’s laidback aesthetic, while two pockets with button-closure on the back nod to classic Military-style.

Exhibit C: Aviation Pant

The Aviation Pant takes its silhouette from a classic, Military-inspired combat pant, reworking it so that it has a slimmer, more contemporary fit. It features adjustable waist detailing, two side leg pockets with flap closure, and the iconic woven Carhartt C logo on the left one. Workwear-inspired detailing is incorporated through bar-tack stitch reinforcements at vital stress points.

Exhibit D: Regular Cargo Pant

The Regular Cargo Pant is exactly what its name suggests – a classic cargo in a classic fit, which errs slightly to the loose-side of things. This is a regular inclusion in Carhartt WIP collections, thanks to its timeless style – and for F/W18 it appears in a selection of muted colors, as well as a seasonal tiger camo.
