Stray Rats & Carhartt WIP

For Spring/Summer 2022, Carhartt WIP has partnered with Stray Rats to create a capsule collection that sees the Miami/NYC brand offer its own take on a slew of classic Carhartt WIP items.

The resulting collaboration features nine products, including reworked iterations of the OG Active Jacket, Western Jacket, and Smith Pant. Each of these items are constructed from either canvas or denim, and have been treated to give an ‘aged’ effect, while also bearing a hand-drawn allover print. These garments are accented by classic brass detailing and trims, and appear in either duck blue or tobacco brown.

The collection also comprises cotton jersey items, including sweatpants with a graphic print – a staple of Stray Rats collections – as well as a long and short sleeve t-shirt. These are further complemented by a beanie with embroidered co-branding, and a six panel snapback that corresponds to the collection’s outerwear.

Founded in Miami in 2010 by Julian Consuegra, Stray Rats is a clothing brand informed by its own obsessions, spanning punk and hardcore nostalgia to strands of underground American counterculture. Now based in New York City, the brand has become known for its idiosyncratic graphic approach and has collaborated in recent seasons with the likes of Marc Jacobs and New Balance.
