NTS WIP From Home Radio Show Series
Earlier this year we announced the next round of the NTS Work In Progress artist development program, a project that aims to support musicians from all backgrounds and across all genres and take these artists to the next steps of the musical careers over the coming year. This year’s participants are LA-born Skepta protégé Jaxxon D. Silva, Malian producer, and vocalist Luka Productions, British composer Nala Sinephro, Hyperdub newcomer Nazar, rap producer Paris Aden, musician and visual artist Slauson Malone, US-American multi-instrumentalist VIOLENCE, and the London based soul group Babeheaven.
As the current situation does not allow us to gather for live performances, NTS introduces NTS WIP From Home – a series of radio shows in which each participant will give insight on their personal musical tastes and very own musical productions. First up is Babeheaven, a London-based group with a soulful approach to songwriting. After several single releases, Babeheaven are currently writing their debut album. Their sound matches hypnotic trip-hop rhythms with confessional lyrics about “friendships, family, losing touch, finding touch, and about working out where you stand with people.” Enjoy and stay tuned for more NTS WIP radio shows in the coming weeks.
