Returns & Exchanges


Return Policy


If you would like to return or exchange an item purchased on within the United States, please send us a request for a return authorization within 14 days of delivery date. All returns must be shipped back to us within 7 days of the request approval.


All orders shipped to Canada are considered Final Sale.  


  • Items must be returned in new & unused condition, with all original packaging and tags attached.  
  • Initial shipping charges cannot be refunded.  
  • Online orders cannot be returned or exchanged at a physical Carhartt WIP location.
  • Carhartt WIP USA reserves the right to refuse any returns which do not meet our return policy requirements, or are returned without written approval.

    Final Sale Items


    Items listed as "Final Sale" are not eligible for return or exchange. This includes, but is not limited to: all Sale items, Gift Cards, select collaborative releases and select items (hats, underwear, socks, gadgets & swimwear).  All orders shipped to Canada are considered Final Sale.





    We offer returns for refund, or for web store credit.  All returns are subject to an $7 return fee. This fee is waived for exchanges or returns for web store credit.  Please note web store credit can only be redeemed on the USA online store at, and not at any of our physical store locations.


    To return an item please follow the steps below to create a return authorization.

    • Enter your order number and zip code, email, or phone number
    • Select the item(s) you wish to return
    • Choose the correct reason for your return
    • Select the credit method you prefer
    • Once approved, you will be contacted via email with a link to a pre-paid shipping label and next steps
    • Upon receiving the shipping label and securely packing your item(s), make sure to include your original invoice or order confirmation to prevent any delays in the returns process.
    • We will process your return once it is received and evaluated at our warehouse.





      We will accommodate an exchange for items purchased on within the United States for the same style in a different size or color, or for a different item of higher or lower value entirely. Exchanges are only processed upon the receipt of returned item(s) and are based on stock availability and not guaranteed. Exchanged items are shipped free of charge. A maximum of one exchange per item will be allowed. Please click here to request an exchange. 


      Defective Items


      If an item is received damaged or defective, please contact customer service immediately.


      Returned to Sender / Refused Packages


      Orders refused or deemed undeliverable by UPS will be returned to our warehouse. All packages returned to our warehouse will be treated as returns. We will return the items to stock for web store credit less an $7 restocking fee.
