Playground Youth: Catalog for a Long Black Tomorrow
Playground Coffee Shop of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn is a multi-faceted community space that is home to a variety of platforms including Playground Radio, Playground Annex, and Playground Youth, a non-profit designed to support and empower BIPOC New Yorkers through a range of open-access programs.
Carhartt WIP recently supported a virtual edition of Playground's annual Black History Month programming, Catalog for a Long Black Tomorrow. An event where artists are featured on the Playground Radio platform with live performances from a private studio in Brooklyn. Featured in this year’s presentation are several singers and songwriters: Duneska Suannette, Caleb Giles, Sammi Gay, Samuel Omare, Anisa Jackson, Travis Brown, and Bryndon Cook.
