Carhartt WIP x Suicoke
For Spring/Summer 2022, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with Suicoke, the Japanese footwear brand founded in 2006.
For this collaboration, Carhartt WIP has reinterpreted two of Suicoke’s classic sandal silhouettes in black and Hamilton Brown, with designs that take inspiration from the canvas-corduroy construction of the brand’s iconic Detroit Jacket. The black iterations are exclusive to Carhartt WIP.
The MOTO slide appears with a mixed-material upper, featuring both Dearborn Canvas and corduroy, complemented by nylon straps that feature jacquard Script Logo branding. The DEPA, meanwhile, features two velcro-fastening straps, also with jacquard Script Logo branding.
The accompanying imagery was shot by Jonas Marguet, with set design from Sébastien Michelini and production by Monsieur L’Agent, in a series of still life images in which the industrial meets the outdoors.
