Chinos & Flannels
This week’s edit focuses on chino pants – a mix of reworked classics alongside new styles and fabrics – combined with the trustiest of autumnal staples; the flannel shirt. From relaxed to tapered, cropped to full-length, there’s an eclectic range of options, each united by core Carhartt WIP design tenets of robust construction and keen attention to detailing.
Let’s start with the classics. The Master Pant is an old favorite. Steady, reliable, it never changes from season to season, save for its colors. Each one is made from a robust cotton twill and has a no-nonsense straight-leg silhouette. The Sid Pant is similarly omnipresent, but entirely different in terms of fit. Here, you’ll find a pant with a slim, tapered leg.

The Craft Pant is a more recent addition to Carhartt WIP collections, but in many ways it’s a throwback to the brand’s roots, with its roomy, relaxed fit and focus on hard-wearing fabrics. It’s available in a selection of colors, but its utilitarian essence is perhaps best encapsulated by this iteration; the iconic Hamilton Brown. The Club Pant and Johnson Pant, meanwhile, are similar in their inspiration, but taper more aggressively below the knew. The key difference between the two is that the Club is slimmer-fitting overall.

Away from the more conventional twills and canvases, this season’s Menson Pant appears in a seasonal wool-blend houndstooth, adding an element of sophistication to this regular-tapered style. Another atypical twist appears in the form of the Dallas Pant (also a loose, work-inspired option), which has a shorter inseam, allowing its hem to break just as it hits your footwear.
