"Terraforming is the theoretical process in which life on a planet becomes possible through the creation of an atmosphere. Terraforma is the manifest of our belief that new dimensions can now be terraformed. A three day experience in the woods of Villa Arconati, where music is the catalyst: a timeless centre of gravity for energies, with a breaking point from which sounds and images create a sense of suspension capable of pointing us towards new perceptions,” so say the organizers of this year's Terraforma Festival, describing the event as: “An organic structure where the musical aspect is integrated with installations crafted by artists and artisans, and where gatherings and workshops will provide opportunities for meditation, actively involving the public. The interlace of musical, artistic and environmental dimensions will form an atmosphere capable of stimulating the listener’s sensibility to think about the present and the future in a new way, a cultural innovation sprouting from the respect of the other and of the environment…"
Similar to previous years, Carhartt WIP will be joining the party to presents a unique program in the cozy "Dummy Tent". On the bill: Italian one-off-a-kind electronic producer Donato Dozzy, who might play ambient or give an acid-laden taster of his upcoming album on Tresor called Filo Loves The Acid. Also; Berlin-based abstract ambient guitar illusionist Konrad Sprenger will perform, as well as DJ's like UK newcomer Batu, who likes broken beat patterns and ravey 1990s techno steppers, and Lebanese-born producer and DJ Rabih Beaini (formerly known as Morphosis) who has a penchant for blending blasts of noise, ceremonial drumming and extraordinary subsonic bass spheres.
Additionally, glorious veterans and in-demand DJs like techno wizard Jeff Mills, 1990s IDM-legends Plaid, polyrhythmic groover DON'T DJ and deep grinding Salon Des Amateurs resident Vladimir Ivkovic will deliver special music for open-minded dancers.
