Hamilton Carhartt, Carhartt’s founder, was an independent thinker, an endless creator, but most of all a believer in doing the never been done. He believed in himself and the goods he made. And to every man “a square deal whether he works for me or buys from me.” In doing so he didn’t just build a workwear brand, he built friendships that have lasted for over 127 years. Today, Carhartt stands for any man or woman who tackles life with the same spirit of Hamilton.
Founded in Europe in 1989, 100 years after Hamilton established his business in Detroit, Carhartt Work In Progress (Carhartt WIP) is a division of Carhartt. Carhartt WIP continues to adapt and develop Carhartt's core product characteristics for a growing audience who values refined authentic design and craftsmanship that is true to the brand’s origins.
